Leap Year Lavish - Why Not?
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him” (1 John 3:1).
Happy Miracle Monday! We are in Medicine Hat, Alberta this morning, after an awe-inspiring weekend in God’s presence at Global Prayer House with Antonio and Christelle Baldovinos. I absolutely love-love-love meeting all of you: Our Family in God’s Kingdom. I experienced many full-on-bear-hugs this last weekend as we met people that have been watching My New Day…and my theory is there are never too many bear-hugs, because that’s what denotes a true family reunion!
As Bob was preaching yesterday, he mentioned a scripture that I have heard hundreds of times, but revelation struck me. Jesus asked Blind Bartimaeus,“What do you want?” (as if it wasn’t obvious – the guy couldn’t see!) But better translated, the question would beg, “What are you willing for me to do for you?”Courage overtook me, and I decided to respond. “I am willing for you to lavish our family with your love and promotion”.
It took a leap of faith! Lavish is a strong word! But our Father in heaven loves when we respond to Him, willing to push past resistance-lies of “I don’t deserve that”, or “that would be selfish to ask for” or “That’s crazy, that won’t really happen”. The scripture in 1 John (above) says “see”. See. See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we would actually be called His kids. Can you see His love that is lavished upon you? Can you see yourself in your secret place with your heavenly father, and he has just decided to lavish you today? What are you willing for Him to do for you?
Today is my day to ask that question. I will take a leap of courageous faith on this leap-year-day 2016. It’s Miracle Monday – this day is loaded up with unlimited possibilities!
Lots of Love,
Audrey
