You Can be Sure of this ONE THING
Seeking to find clarity in your life, calling and purpose in the middle of myriads of questions seems to be the way of life for us, believers. If you want certainty, you’re going to have to find it within the unknown by taking faith steps over and over again. Leading a life of faith is giving space for new possibilities. Every time.
Faith sees the end from the beginning – the big picture, but even amidst the best five-year plan, we cannot always control the process and outcomes, therefore, faith (absolute trust) becomes our way of life! And even though we have great strategies and plans, we remain flexible and adaptable, not presuming anything.
“It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land the God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going.” (Hebrews 11:8 NLT)
Let’s get comfortable with taking steps into the unknown and enjoy the closeness we can have with our Father who gives us direction for each day. That’s what Jesus did! He did what he saw the Father doing. He did only what He saw the Father doing.
Abraham obeyed God and made it his life’s decision to believe and trust what He says is true. We are invited into a lifestyle of profound faith, trust, and reckless abandonment. We are each called upon to trust God enough to obey Him when we face pressure to compromise or abandon our commitment to faith, hope, and love. Compromise is the killer of personal contentment. However, “true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.” (1Tim.6:6)
As you watch My New Day this month, you’ll hear our passion for all the new methods of communication and ministry we are moving into. We have the same mission, same heart, same history and same motivation, but developing new and different methods.
Often methods can be perceived as sacred when you derive a sense of identity and security from them. Methods are simply to be used as a vehicle to serve you and aid you in delivering your message to your intended audience.
We find ourselves needing to navigate the terrain of technology advancements to better enhance our outreach of connecting people to the love of Jesus Christ. Is is it comfortable? Definitely not, but absolutely necessary!
Here are just a few of our New Changes:
Recording weekly Live Transformed Podcasts with Dr. Jim Richards
Creating needed resources to aid in your fight for family.
Using the Internet for distribution of videos and content rather than the expensive television airtime costs.
Although change is inevitable our choice to grow with change is essential. No matter how you plan and weigh out the Pros and Cons of a decision you must always return to a place of peace and trust God. Knowing the details of your journey are rare but having peace in your heart is guaranteed.
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” (John 14:27 NLT)
Moving from a familiar, normal or comfortable methods and moving towards seeing your vision and dreams becoming a reality can be unnerving. Having clarity of vision is essential when resisters come and challenge your advancements of obedience.
Are you feeling stretched and challenged these days? We are going to continue this week with extreme encouragement and tons of hope. Join the conversation – when you make a comment, finish these two sentences:
