God Showed Up

It’s miracle Monday my friends, and whatever miracle you are praying for, whatever breakthrough you are believing for, this is the day that the Lord has made, and this is the perfect day for God to show up.

Let me tell you some good news.

After an amazing Love Married Life 4-day Intensive last week, we jumped straight on to a plane to Toronto to teach a weekend marriage retreat.  Then, on Sunday, we preached at two services in downtown Toronto (C3 church – love this place!) and GOD SHOWED UP.   Let me tell you what that looks like.  Actually, let me tell you what that didn’t look like! There weren’t any people racing around the building shouting with triumph, and the media didn’t show up to record the event.  In fact, I’m pretty sure nobody even noticed this particular event where God showed up.

It was a precious girl that came to the front hoping to touch Jesus.  She didn’t know what to say to me, so I just held her, and she began to cry.  I saw the word, “Self-Loathing”.  I gently whispered in her ear, “This is the perfect day to let Jesus heal your broken heart.  You have allowed self-loathing to rob you of the gift that you truly are”.   The quiet cries turned to sobbing…Jesus knew the very thing that would make her feel understood.  And when you feel understood, you somehow feel so loved.   This girl showed up in her desperation, and God showed up with His love that chased her fears away.

For the next hour, it happened again, and again and again.  Jesus kept meeting desperate people, as if in a dark prison cell, and leading them to green grass and quiet streams of water.  Imagine waterfalls of favor and dancing with freedom!

This is your day.  The subject line of this email says: GOD SHOWED UP.  But the truth is, He doesn’t really just “show up”, He is always there…waiting, with His hand extended to you.  Will you leave the prison of depression, loneliness, rejection and “obsessing with whatever it is you’ve been obsessing about” and experience your miracle?

I love the invitation in Isaiah 55:1-3:

“Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink—even if you have no money!

Come, take your choice of wine or milk - it’s all free!

Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength?

Why pay for food that does you no good?

Listen to me, and you will eat what is good.

You will enjoy the finest food.

Come to me with your ears wide open. Listen, and you will find life.

I will make an everlasting covenant with you.

I will give you all the unfailing love I promised to David”.

You may feel like everything that looks good is out of reach. No money. No strength. No motivation. But you have a longing….a thirst! Maybe you have allowed thoughts of self-loathing to rob you of the everlasting joy that you have inherited through Jesus! You have a thirst in your heart, and God is saying, you are the perfect candidate to experience a miracle.

Today is my day to pull in my miracle and say yes.  God is inviting me to enjoy the banquet of His salvation and feast on His righteousness peace and joy!  He satisfies you every morning with His unfailing love.

Blessings and waterfalls of favor to you!

Love Audrey
